The crystal is clear and polished- Light travels through and reflects off the edges of each point so creating subtle highlights. The crystal is mounted on a metal base. The base is gold, silver, or copper plated, and has a smooth, shiny surface. The text is printed directly on the star surface. The award title is printed at the top, the recipient name is printed centered below in larger type, and the organization and date are printed at the bottom in smaller print. The metal base is kept clean - no text, no logos, no other printing.
