Peak Trophy With Number

"Most anniversary awards look the same," said one client. Same columns Identical stars. Nothing that *screams* "we've been doing this for fifteen years". They wanted something that made the number obvious-not buried in the fine print, not hidden on the back. And so the Peak Trophy with Number was born.
 

What it looks like

The Peak Trophy with Number in Two Materials in One The main body is a crystal cut in the shape of a mountain peak with angled surfaces that catch light from different angles. Below it is the metal base, which adds weight and stability to the piece. Crystal is clear, polished clear, no bubbles, no cloudiness. It is either gold or silver plated metal with a smooth, even finish.

That's the number that everyone's watching. Fifteen. 25. 10. Whatever the milestone is, it is engraved prominently on the surface of the crystal where it catches light and stands out against the polished background. The text is on top or below the number with plenty of room for recipient name and award title. You can also print additional text or branding on the metal base in color.

The Peak Trophy with Number measures 26.5×8cm-tall enough to be seen on stage, and narrow enough to fit on a desk.

 

 

How we do it

First the crystal is cut and ground. The mountain shape requires precise angles – each face needs to meet at the correct point. If one edge is off by even a tiny bit, the whole peak looks wrong. We check every piece in cutting and before polishing.

Number and text sandblasted. The exposed areas are masked and etched by abrasive grains. The effect is a frosted finish sharply contrasted with the polished crystal. It's permanent, won't fade or rub off. The color printing is on the metal base, mostly for the company name, event logo or year. The metal base is made separately, plated and then assembled with the crystal.

Most mountain trophies don't have a big number. They are only dependent on the form. This one puts the number front and center, and that change alters the way we read the trophy. You see the number, then the shape, then the details; from across the room. That order is important. It tells the viewer what milestone is being celebrated before they even come close."

We've supplied the Peak Trophy with Number for 10 year, 15 year and 25 year anniversaries. The biggest feedback we get is that recipients put it on their desks rather than putting it away. The number provides a daily reminder of the milestone, a recognition beyond the awards ceremony itself.
