Solid Crystal Block

We manufacture a Frosted Glass Brick that bridges the gap between structural glazing and decorative finishing. This matte white unit is cast from a Solid Crystal Block formulation, giving the visual softness of etched glass without the maintenance headaches of surface coatings. The frost effect permeates the entire surface layer so it can take repeated cleaning, UV exposure and incidental scuffs common to commercial corridors and hotel washrooms. Each piece coming out of our annealing lehr has a uniform distribution of internal stresses, which prevents it from breaking spontaneously while the mortar is shrinking during the curing process.

Where glass blocks are all about transparency, this Frosted Glass Brick is all about controlled light. The crystal-grade material scatters incoming sunlight into a warm, non-glare glow that reduces the need for artificial lighting in daytime interiors. Our Solid Crystal Block construction is more scratch resistant than acrylic panels and has zero yellowing in a decade of service. The matte white finish also conceals water spots and dust better than clear or patterned options, making it a practical choice for shower enclosures and kitchen backsplashes in high-end residential projects.

This Frosted Glass Brick is made on a dedicated forming line that never shares tooling with any other size. This singular focus means we have much tighter control of processes – our reject rate is below 1.2% which is a lot better than the industry average of 3% to 5%. All Solid Crystal Blocks are inspected with polarized light to reveal internal strain patterns that are not visible to the naked eye. Any unit in which the stress is not evenly distributed is rejected before it even reaches the packing station. They are packed in cartons with molded pulp inserts that cradle each brick separately and then shrink-wrapped and palletized with edge protectors for export. This layered approach has led to us having less than 0.3% transit damage claims over the past two years.

Our minimum of 50 pieces is an intentional invitation to trial projects, not a commercial barrier. With this format, buyers receive a site-ready reference card that details suitable mortar mixes and recommended joint widths and spacing templates. If a unit chips during proper installation (which if it is within the first three rows we consider a manufacturing defect) we send a replacement piece with the next available shipment, no paperwork hassle. For larger contracts we allocate a specific production window to avoid mixing your order with other batches, ensuring complete material traceability from melt to pallet. We can also produce bespoke surface patterns and other frost densities. Sample tiles can be supplied to clients for their approval within five working days.
