Made from solid walnut, this 30x40cm rectangle showcases the rich chocolate tones and sweeping grain patterns that have long made walnut a perennial favorite of woodworkers and designers alike.

You feel the weight of this thing the second you pick it up. It reads 3kg weight, permanence and substance. Walnut requires respect in processing. The lumber is selected for uniform grain and few blemishes. Each blank is visually inspected before conditioning, where a staged drying process brings moisture content to the 8 to 10 percent range. This step will determine whether the plaque will remain flat for years to come or whether it will begin to warp and crack.

This chocolate brown color is from the wood itself, not from stains applied to it. That means the color goes all the way through. The plaque is more forgiving than stained or veneered alternatives, as scratches or minor damage will not show a different color underneath.

The word " blank " describes the initial point , not the end point . The surface is a generous 30x40cm, enough for pretty much any design direction. Laser engraving leaves clean and precise marks that show up as caramel colored lines on the darker chocolate background, ideal for detailed logos and small text. Deep CNC routing makes a more dramatic effect for 3D lettering for more aggressive statements.

The rectangle can be adapted to fit particular dimensions and edge details such as beveling, radiusing, or stepped profiles add a little refinement. Each customization route preserves the integrity of the walnut, while transforming it to the vision of the buyer.
